What antivirus program do you use?

I use “Microsoft Security Essensials”, wich is a free but good enough program if you keep it up to date all the time, and of course if you use common sense.

Answer #1

Personally, I believe that disclosing what antivirus you use in public poses a security risk that I’d rather not take.

Yeah, Norton does the job, but it’s almost impossible to get rid of if you wanna uninstall it. It leaves traces all over your pc,,

Bit Defender won a test on what antivirus program was the best in 2010, so I think I’ll go for that :)

Answer #12

the free version?

Answer #13

i also use microsoft security essentials. its very easy to use, and if you get a virus it automatically pops up and asks you to clean your computer, and it does it for you. and it updates by itself to the next version if needed to. plus, it runs scans by itself.

Answer #14

I used nortons for about 5 years and never had a single virus or problem, unfortunately last year I got hit with the same virus three times in a row that Nortons couldn’t stop. My computer literally crashed around me while Nortons sat there telling me my computer was all safe and good. At the suggestion of a friend I downloaded Malwarebytes which is free and it got the virus out. I wrote Nortons and told them I thought it sucked that their paid virus protection allowed my computer to crash (It fully crashed the first time I got the virus and Malwarebytes was able to save it the second two times) and Nortons didn’t even bother to respond to me (I actually wrote them 3 times). So, obviously I no longer use Nortons and I now run Malwarebytes weekly and run a free virus protection. Why pay $100 for Nortons if it isn’t going to work and they won’t even answer complaints. I back everything up on an extrernal hardrive incase my computer crashes again.

Answer #15

i don’t use any. i have a Mac and has security built right in :) i love my mac.

Answer #16

We use Trend at work and I use Norton 360 at home. I’ve had malware on both work and home computers so neither is perfect.

Answer #17

i useNorton

Answer #18

i had it on one of my pcs it was good

Answer #19

Well, that’s not true, but the fact is that Mac has got so little part of the computer market, it’s bound to have less virus problems. I got a trojan on my Mac, and it practcally ruined the machine, because there’s no good programs to remove that crap from a Mac After that, I bought a pc, and the few times I have had any issues with that, it’s just running a scan, and hit “clean”. I really do NOT like Mac :)

Answer #20

i love Mac, i had PC and had so much trouble with em
