Everyone’s giving good advice! Since coming to France, where everybody loves to cook and eat, what I’ve noticed is that they feel satisfied after a really GOOD meal, whereas the British and Americans only feel satisfied after a really BIG meal.

In France they buy great ingredients and follow interesting recipes, and only eat a smallish amount of each course. And they are definitely, as a country, slimmer than the rest of us! I’m trying to get into the idea of cooking better stuff, in smaller amounts.

Answer #4

“All things in moderation.” It’s alright to make big meals (so long as they’re healthy and balanced), but if you make ‘em big, then don’t eat all of it in one sitting. Stick the leftovers in the refrigerator and at the end of the week or whenever just have a leftover night.
