What's a good (affordable) lipstain?

I’ve been wanting to get a good lipstain for awhile, but as far as I know it’s hit or miss with these things. I want a drugstore product (i’m thinking maybelline or covergirl). I don’t wanna waste money on a piece of crap so I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation :)
