Advise on nose piercing I got done today

went and got my nose pierced today.. what I am worried about is that there is a back on it and it looks like she pierced my nose with an actual ear ring. are nose piercings supposed to have backs like earrings??

Deffenatly not it should be and L shape or have a small ball on the back that you push through the hole, or you can have a ring or a screw in one (as I have had my nose peirced for many years) my friend also had her nose done the same way as you have metioned and she was unable to get that one out and had to go back to the place she had it done at where they used a set of plyers to remove it. also the bar on an earing is way WAY thicker then a nose stud as you will notice so when it comes to changing it the hole may have healed to big to actualy place a normal nose stud in its place, so its best of you buy a proper bar I suggest an L shapped one and go back to where you got it done (or some where beter aka a tatoo parlor) and ask if they are able to change it for you. having an earing stud in the nose also limits the room for swelling there for it can become very tender and in some cases may bleed. Hope my advise helps =)

Answer #2

no, there not. an earring does not belong in the nose neither does anything else with a backing like a labret (that people usually put in there lip) proper nose rings dont have any kind of backing, and you shouldnt have to bend them either. nose screws are best as are L shaped nose jewelery, and rings it sounds like the person piercing you was unprofesional so try and go to a real profesional piercer somewere else and ask for there advice they should know imediently wether whats in there should be or not and they will have the proper jewelrey for it your not supposed to change it untill 3 months but it will never heal with an earring stud in there. so ask the porfesional to change it for you
