Acting-help please!

Sounds like you and I are in the same boat, I’ve been reading up as much as possible about acting. Here are some things I’ve learned:

1. Make sure you have the talent, practice acting in any way you can…in front of the mirror is a good idea…or, get acting lessons.

2. Look online or in the newspaper for acting gigs…even Craiglist have them. You can start out in a film as an extra and get 300 bucks each time. Its a small start, but depending on how real you are, they might just give you bigger parts.

3. Go online to sites like, StarSearch.com. You can post your pics, general interests about actinig and genres of movies you’d like to be in. Actual filmmakers and agents come on this site to check you out, and if they are interested, call you or send you messages. Its a VERY useful site, there have been people who starred in the movie Wanted and stuff there.

4. Get the mindset to work HARD. You need to be able to handle any kind of blow that comes your way, also keep that chin up and know you can do it.
