Should I get myself to stop liking him?

There is a really down to earth, kinda popular guy in only one of my classes that I have been crushing on since the beggining of the school year. I am so nervous because I’ve never had a boyfriend before and I have no experience. But wait it gets worse…my best friend likes him as well. And she really thinks HE likes her because she heard him talking about her the other day. My best friend also has two classes with him when I have one plus she participates in track with him. I was very close to joining track but I didn’t because I have no time. Yet HE sits right next to me in art(my one class) and we hardly talk at all, but he has made smalltalk here and there. Another problem with my dream boyfriend is that he may be still hooked onto his old girlfirend who is very pretty and popular. I keep telling myself that I can find someone else for me and that this will never last anyway but I just cant stop liking him. Please help me! I deffinatly need some advice!!!

hey I have been through this same situation but I took a lot differently. me and my bff have the same taste when it comes 2 guys. but me and her made a deal not 2 date a guy without the others permision and it has worked ever since.

You need to work out just how much your best friend means to you 1st, becos if you are willing to risk her friendship for a guy then she mustn be that special, and if she is willing to rish her friendship for you then she isnt a good friend. Generally when 2 friends like the same guy, to save trouble and drama and possibly losing the friendship they just both say he is off bounds, plus the fact he is still hung up on his ex is dangerous enough. You could both lose each other for no reason if he ends up back with her anyway. Just give it time. Nothing wrong with being his friend but just leave it alone.
