A Strange Memory From Years Ago...

When I was about 9 years old something happened to me, and I’ve wondered for years … what could’ve caused it? I’ll explain what happened. I was visiting my gran with my mum and aunt and I was sitting down in a chair. My mum stopped talking to my aunt and turned her head to look at me. That’s when she gasped. My aunt then said “Oh my God”, looking at me with her eyes wide open. I had no idea what was happening, but my mum started to help me up and walk me to our car. My aunt grabbed a towel and my mum held it up to my face. My aunt then started driving us to the hospital. By this time I was so scared that I was crying, although I still had no idea what was wrong with me. When we got to the hospital, the doctor’s face was pure white when he looked at me. And it was only then that I heard what had happened. My mum had looked at me and saw that there was something wrong with my eye. She said that my eye seemed to fill with blood, like water is poured into a glass. Then the blood started gushing out of my eye. To this day no one ever knew what the cause was, even though they examined me over and over. I was too young to understand at the time, but thinking about it now I’d like to find out what might cause an eye to bleed like that. If anyone has any medical wisdom, I’d really like to know.
