FunAdvice Trivia: Which principle, first stated by Antoine-Laurent Lavoisier in 1789, was revised in 1905 by Albert Einstein?

A) Principle of First Action B) Conservation of Mass C) Conservation of Momentum D) Prevost’s Conjecture

Answer #1

Hmmm, I know Lavoisier discovered oxygen. Unfortunately he found himself on the wrong side of the French Revolution and was guillotined. According to some tellings the French scientist performed one last experiment. At the time it was unknown if beheading instantly rendered someone unconscious or if they remain conscious for a while. He told his friends that if he could he would blink for as long as possible. He apparently blinked 14 times. Scientists today think that most people do loose consciousness instantly after being beheaded from shock but a lucky or unlucky few may remain conscious for about 10 seconds. Not sure the answer to this question but I’m going with B).
