What's the difference between the "Open relationship" and "Committed relationship" option?

An open relationship is a politer way of saying a FWB/NSA (Friends With Benifits/No Strings Attached) relationship or as said already, a relationship where you and your partner doesn’t have to be fully committed with one another and are free to have flings with other people. Committed on the other hand is a relationship you have with someone, where you are fully faithful and committed to only that one person.

They aren’t necessarily mutually exclusive. A committed relationship is one where the couple is committed to each other. An open relationship is one where partners have agreed that they may pursue sexual interests outside the relationship. Sex is one aspect of a relationship; many people feel it is far more important for their partner to be emotionally committed to them than sexually. In every example I know of where a couple are in an open relationship they are very committed to each other. Other variations are “hall passes” where one partner gives the other permission to have one fling. There are also semi-open relationships where it is understood that one partner will be faithful while the other is allowed sexual freedom. In most royal marriages it was an unwritten rule that kings were allowed to play around but the women who married them were expected not to. Also there are “cuckold” relationships where the man is expected to be completely monogamous but the woman is allowed to do as she wishes.

Huh, well alright then… one thing that grabs my mind is why would people have sex with others? Sex is sex and not that I’d know what it’s like but isn’t it pretty much the same with each person?

Depends on the person I guess, but in my opinion. Committed relationship = two people no one else interferring with that, not emotionally nor sexually. Open relationship = two people in a relationship but with one or both persons having emotional and/or sexual realtions with another person(s).

Not really, everyone has a different style of love making. It is exciting to have sex with a new person for the first time. Most people who marry or are in a committed relationship resist the temptation of having sex outside the relationship. There are exceptions though.

Open relationships are when you your both together but not sexually means you dont can be seeing others. An commited relationship is when your together completely and you are not open for other relationships

Open relationship is more of just a physical thing.
