is there anyone out there who could tell me what to do about my debt?

i took out a payday advance loan online to help catch up with past due bills. well the loan that i was approved for didn’t offer enough money to cover 1 bill and i had several. i then applied for a loan 2 in which i was approved for the same amount which helped me pay for the 1 bill but again i needed to pay for all of the past due bills. well before i knew it by my next payday i had to pay back all the loans and creditors were taking it directly from my checking account leaving me nothing to pay for rent or anything else but the payday loans that i had taken out. now im deeper in debt and i have rent and other bills to pay along with all the payday advances. i tried to consolidate but that would cost me 3 times the amount i owe over time and the one payment wouldn’t allow me to pay rent and other bills. i’m drowning fast. i’m a single mother of 4 and i’m low income and the creditors want blood cause there’s no money.

Answer #1

Would any of your family members be willing to help you out?

Answer #2

i only had my mother and she has passed away. i have no friends and co-workers barely will lend $20.

Answer #3

What other income do you currently have?

Answer #4

none

Answer #5

How do you no income at all? Do you not get anything from the state?

Answer #6

have*

Answer #7

i’m employed all of my money is direct deposited into my checking account so that when the payday advance co. wants to collect their money they are able to electronically take it. i meant i have no additional income.

Answer #8

I would suggest talking to a financial advisor about your situation, none of us on here are qualified and since you have chiildren to worry about you need to talk to a professional. Unfortunatly though, it sounds as if your going to have to leave your home. Even with consolidation they wont help with your rent. Do you have a famiily member or friend you and your children could stay with in the meantime until you can get your bills straight?

Answer #9

i only had my mother and she passed away. i have one aunt who lives out of state and she wouldn’t take them in.

Answer #10

Go to a financial advisor and talk to them, again like i said we arent professionals. You may be able to file bankrupty but im not quite sure what the guidelines are and if you would loose your home.

Answer #11

try consumer credit counseling service…?

Answer #12

thank you. yes, i’ve tried as mentioned earlier. they want an upfront fee and payments every month. i don’t have anymoney to pay for the help.

Answer #13

Apply for assistance from the government on every avenue possible. Also ask about one time assistance, they give you a small lump sum to cover debt.

Answer #14

Maybe you can ask your employer not to have your paycheck directly deposited into your account? That way, you have control over the amount of money that goes to the people that you borrow from. I would also suggest applying for temporarly assistance because there is no way that they will turn you down knowing that you are the sole caretaker of your four kids. Also check with your kids’ father.. assuming your kids are under 18, he will have to help out in supporting them.
