Vietnam (Việt Nam), officially the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (Cộng hòa xã hội chủ nghĩa Việt Nam) is a country in Southeast Asia. Its neighbouring countries are China to the north, Laos and Cambodia to the west.
Cuc Phuong National Park (Vietnamese: Vườn quốc gia Cúc Phương) is in Northern Vietnam, 40 km away from Ninh Binh city. It is Vietnam’s largest national park and one of the most important biodiversity sites in the country.
Ninh Binh is a city in North Vietnam with population of 130,517 people, famous for the nearby karst scenery and the village of Tam Coc. There is nothing to do in Ninh Binh apart from drinking beer with the locals, but it is useful as a base for the surrounding countryside.

Pingxiang (凭祥; Píngxiáng) is in Central Guangxi, southern China. It is close to the border with Vietnam, with the Vietnamese town of Dong Dang just across the border, and is a transit town for entering or leaving China.
