When it comes time for feeding she will not eat her dog food when I go to get it she runs into the other room with her tail between her legs I have tried everything you name it I have done it.. what can I do it is the same dog food she had before.. She also refuses to play with anything she is a verry good dog though she loves to be loved on and e pet and is verry good around other people please help I feel helpless

Answer #1

she will come around, give her time, A dog will NOT starve themselves, she will eat.

Answer #2

mab you need to bring the dog to a shelter like if there is a SPCA close to where you live I bet you she will get adopted quickly

Answer #3

she misses her owner. she is used to an older owner. be patient. be patient. be patient. it will take a bit to get her used to you. don’t go and get her food, just let it sit there until she naturally walks away. most animals that lived with an older owner love to be petted and wants lots of attention. An older lifestyle allows more time spent with the animal.

Answer #4

basically dogs grow attachments to people. just as children do. she is missing her previous owner and inturn does not know what to do. intime she will get better and will forget about her previous owner. it will just take time! BUT until then you CAN NOT let baby her or cuddle her or pet her when she acts nervous or afraid. that will re enforce the behavior and inturn will show her that she SHOULD do that and that she gets love and attention when she does that! force her into situations that scare her. you can not baby her either
