yes it is my new bulldog pup… - Hes not had no jabs.. But I havent took him anywer. and my other dogs havent got parvo because deyv had der jabs too. and we keep them in our garden… when dey go for walks because we have a big field. - the lady we got him of said she only keeps him in garden and all the other ones are fine :S … but meh, the parvo Test, they did say about it, but it only in one lot of poo, soo if they take it from the first lot of poo he does it might not be in that one it might be in the 2nd one so either way we dont know, wot it is ;l I really hope he doesnt have parvo and that its just worms :( I’ve truely fell in love with this dog,. I cryed at the vets soon as they Went it could be parvo and I was like wot that and me mum went a killer. and I just bursted out crying :(… When you have worms you can have blood in it too. as I bene doing research.. theyv given him a worming tablet and hes on antiobiotics and hes was on a drip.. .. theere gona ring me to morrow, and tell me wots going on seen as they gave him a worming tablet if it is worms he should of pickd up by to morrow? right? :(

Well, having an appetite is a good sign…even if he threw up…It’s just one of those wait and see things…

Parvo gets brought in on the shoes of visitors, workman…there’s a million ways for it to get into your yard…even flies…

Wearen’t vets, we can’t tell you. As long as he’s there, he’s in good care. Just wait until the vet has more information. I know you’re worried about your dog, but there’s nothing more you can do.

I’m with Harley…I’ve never heard of a Parvo test taking several days to run…I’ve never heard either, of a stool sample not being done right away, with results right away…

You’ve got a very sick baby, and I’m glad to hear you took him into the Vets for supportive care…Unless the worm infestation is so huge that his immune system is compromised, then the “fever” is an infection of some kind. Worms can wreck havoc on the digestive system, and make a pup unthrifty…but they normally don’t cause infection.

Remember too, if he’s had some of his puppy shots, that Parvo can come in degrees…where he has “some” immunity, but not enough to keep the virus completely at bay…

Is this your new Bulldog pup??

do that not have the parvo test? We do at work, it only takes 8 min to run and it will let you know if the pup is parvo postive.. I would say it sounds like parvo, however this does not mean that the puppy still can’t have worms, Are the give him fluid? I would ask that they do a parvo test and a stool check to test for intestial parisites or worms. What are the treating him for right now? Are they giving him supportive care? I am glad you have him at the vet hospital but it does not sound like they are giving many answers.
