Why should I get punished for someone elses responsibility?

I got grounded recently for cussing at my sister in law. She asked why I did not wake her up for her to go to school and I calmly said because I didnt think you would have to go until later. She got an attitude and said I see how much you love me, your going to let me be late for school. And I got an attitude back because I was getting blamed for not waking her up when its clearly her responsibility. So I asked whats the difference than your alarm clock waking you up and me poking you. And she slapped me in the face, I hit her in the arm and I accidently said fu. I know I shouldnt have said that but was I in the wrong for standing up to her accusations about not waking her up?

I’d say probably because they don’t know the whole story. If they do know the whole story maybe they wouldn’t expect that type of behavior coming from your sister in law? The best thing to do is just deal with the punishment. Believe me, talking about it with them will just dig you a deeper hole. Good luck!

tell your perents all that happened and all, So they know the whole story and not only one side of the story.

GOOD LUCK:)
