What to do? Problems with Ipod Touch :( Can anyone help?

I got an Ipod touch for christmas and have been having problems with it. It copies from the itunes library not only songs I’ve chosen but songs I unselected on the library, so its using up my memory. I have tried syncing it, but its not working. I seriously dont know whats going on, no matter what I do its not working, can anyone suggest what I could do to control what songs go on my ipod?

are you syncing from itunes? if you are I can help…

when you plug in your ipod, go into the ‘music’ tab up the top of the window beside photos apps etc, and click ‘music’ and you can select either ‘sync all songs’ or ‘sync selected playlists’.

make a playlist of the songs you want and just select that playlist.

I am syncing from Itunes. I tried that and it it doesnt come up on songs on the bottom of the screen..is that meant to happen?
