pilates is a type of exercise similar to yoga it is rather popular and a lot of gym’s tend to hold classes alternatively there are some reasonable pilates instructional videos out =]

From experience I recommend yoga a bit more. I felt that I got more out of it, though, if you can find a class that uses the pilates reformer I recommend it. There is only so much you can get out of floor exercises and the reformer, I felt, gave me that. Also from experience I recommend either group classes or paying for individual instruction before looking up any video advice. It is very difficult to judge the correctness of your own form, if you do not know what correct form feels like.
