What are some ways I can modify my men's sized shirts?

Almost all of the shirts that I own are band merchandise, most of which are men’s clothing. I was just wondering if any of you knew of ways, or sites that had directions on how to modify them to make them a little more girlie, or to fit a little better?

Answer #1

the side seams are always the easiest, but to get a good contoured shape it probably wont work to well especially if its just t-shirt fabric, if youve ever though about it you could do the tie method many girls use, just cut the sides of the shirt into strips and tie them the way you want fitted together

Answer #2

I always cut the neckline if it’s too fitting, cut the sleeves off, and wear them with a belt around my waist as a dress (or wish high waisted shorts with the shirt tucked in). It looks cute as, but would kinda ruin your tops :/ I buy band shirts in Large so that they are big and dress-length.

Answer #3

wear* lol not wish

Answer #4

I like making cropped tees when my shirts are too big. Its super cute. Try it and if the shirt is plain design it urself sew a few patches of random items you like and describe yourself with those items.. or tye dye the shirt …. you can make it like a pochahontas theme type thing and cut many strings …
