Which website is best for travel tickets?

Which travel site is best for travelling locally or internationally: Travelocity, Expedia, or Orbitz? I have used Expedia once and Orbitz once but I never really compared the two at the time. I have a vacation coming up from work and I thought I should start planning in advance.

Ok for air travel, expedia will more often have a better selection but orbitz will sometimes have a better price. It’s worth checking both.

However…I’m not sure if Orbitz does the booking themselves (like expedia) or if they link you through to the airline directly. Sidestep, as an example, links you to the airline directly, which saves you the $5 booking fee that expedia charges. So sometimes, you can save the $5 fee by using sidestep, instead of one of the others.
