How to do a full split?

how do I get from doing a split about 10 inches off of the ground to doing a full split?

This is what I wrote on someone else’s question, but it may help you too:

All I know is to like do splits against a wall and then you have to push yourself or get someone else to push you against it until you are flat up against the wall.

I think you can also do frog-split things where you lay with your stomach on the ground and you put your legs in a position that looks like frog legs and then you have to push your hips to the floor or have someone else help you do it.

Does any of that make sense? I hope it does. :)

N.B. You most likely won’t be flat the first time you do it, but you push yourself a bit further each time you do it; don’t push all the way in the first time or you’ll seriously hurt yourself.

I found that sitting in them for a small amount of time like a couple of minutes then swopping legs then returning to that leg help or if your doing the box splits stretching by sitting on the fllor and pushing you legs out on a wall it sounds minging but it works. or just stretching htme muscles out like twice a day works

Did you ever get to the splits? I have the ability of doing the splits. All I do is stretch to the extreme, I push myself when I stretch. Guess thats what helps me. If you havent already achieved that goal just stretch your inner thighs a lot :]

I lay flat on my back legs against the wall and get one person or two people to push down both legs so that they touch the floor.

well I can do the splits all the way since I was in the third grade I did it cause I was running adn some kid kicked the ball under my feet and I fell flat into a split and it hurt ouch lol but also what I did to help me get my splits good was to sit on the floor and open your legs out as far as possible and stretch out toward your toes stay in that position for about 30 sec. then every single day do that also what can help is by doing a split position and trying to go lower every day but remember always strretch your feet before trying a split cause it will hurt trust me so do the thing were you get on the floor and stretch your legs out as much as you can and trust me in a couple of weeks ull be alble to do the split about a couple 5 more inches down or maybe even all the way
