Neither. Is anyone else sick of the Democrats and the Republicans? If so, why do you support any of their candidates? By the way, despite running as a Republican, I'm supporting Ron Paul.

I think MCaine.
But, yet, Obama might win by the way he's going with his supporters.

deffinitly Obama.
people have to get over the fact that he's black! who cares! he's a person too. you can't treat people deferently just because they are a different race or color. we have way too much rasicm in our country and I think that if we have a different colored prez. it might help improve that.

Black has nothing to do with it. He is a Democrat, that is what I am against. I also don't like the fact that he owes a lot of people favors. People will call on those favors. They always do, it's called politics. That is what Hilliary was trying to avoid, not going into office owing everyone favors. Obama owes them all.

I also hate to have a President that has a name I can't pronounce. His name also sounds like a Latin Dance. The Barack Obama Cha Cha!!

He won't change anything, He owes to many politicians they will run his office.

'Black has nothing to do with it.'
Glad to hear about it...

'He is a Democrat, that is what I am against. I also don't like the fact that he owes a lot of people favors. People will call on those favors. They always do, it's called politics. That is what Hilliary was trying to avoid, not going into office owing everyone favors. Obama owes them all. '

I think you are getting Obama mixed up with a Republican. Obama has not taken any money from lobbyists and special interests. He is the first presdential nominee that in a long long time to do that. He has also order the DNC to do the same. He is also trying to disuade 527 groups to do ads in his name. MoveOn has agreed.

He is a different kind politician, and if he owes any one it will be the people, and he will be free of the influence peddling that is so purvasive in our government.

'I also hate to have a President that has a name I can't pronounce. His name also sounds like a Latin Dance. The Barack Obama Cha Cha!! '

What is so difficult to pronouce? It is a very different name, but easy to say.

'He won't change anything, He owes to many politicians they will run his office. '

Now you are confusing him with Dubya. Obama is his own man. He is in control of his campaign and party. And so far he is doing great. He will surround himself with a lot of smart people like him, and we will finally have some competency in the executive branch again.

I think Obama will win in a landslide.

I agree that this person is confusing Obama with GW. Bush also had a large support of Evangelical Christians who can completely affect the outcome of any election. I hope McCain doesn't pander to them, but after his speech at Liberty University...I'm afraid that he has no other choice if he is going to stand a chance against Obama.

I still won't support Obama or McCain.

Bush won't personally deal with Iran, but Obama says that he wants to. Personally, I'm not sure either one of them are capable of discussing anything with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. However, Ahmadinejad is merely a political puppet. The person that our next president will have to focus on is Ayatollah Ali Khamenei...the supreme leader of Iran.

I have a very difficult time listening to the opinions of people who believe in 'secret societies'. I believe in the will and determination of 'the people'. That Alex Jones jargon should listened to, but not believed.

This election will be historical, yet quite pathetic when you think about it. You have conservatives disliking Obama because of his name, his race, and his wife. And you have liberals who have become and are acting just like the right-wing nuts from the last 8 years or so. McCain got the nomination only because Democrats and Republicans are tired of Conservative politics that have reigned in this country for the last 8 years and settled on someone who is conservative, but can pose as a moderate. And Obama won because he isn't a female. Sexism is tolerated more in society than racism. If I had to choose a Democrat to vote for it would have been John Edwards; Ron Paul for the Republicans (though he's really a Libertarian).

Prediction: Obama SHOULD win. The majority of Americans are tired of most Republicans and neo-cons. Democrats, despite a horribly run primary, should get back a lot of Reagan Democrat and Independent votes. However, if history has anything to show Obama is in for one hell of a ride from conservative 527s and think tanks. Remember how they ruined McCain's chance in 2000 by spreading lies about him having an affair that 'spawned a black child'? He and his wife adopted the poor girl from Bangladesh. Remember John Kerry in 2004? Swiftboat Veterans for Truth? How brutal do you think they will get when there is a black Democrat running for president? Time will only tell and I hope that racism doesn't play any part in this election.

Mattman81: 'And you have liberals who have become and are acting just like the right-wing nuts from the last 8 years or so.'

Care to elaborate? I act no differently than I did eight years ago. The only thing I can say now is: See, I told you so!!

'And Obama won because he isn't a female.'

Not true at all. He won because he had the best message that resonated with people. Why do you completely discount his talents and ability as the reason? He has built up an unbelieveble campaign organization, never before seen. Hillary made many mistakes too.

Yes, the wingnuts are going to try everything they can to discredit him, and it will make the swift boat liars seem like choir boys. But Obama is not Kerry. He is ready for it, and will be out in front of the smear campaign. Kerry thought he would take the I-won't-dignify-it-with-a-response route. And that hurt him tremedously. Obama will not let anything go by. He has already set up a website devoted to countering the smear campaign.

As I said, it will be Obama in a landslide.

I happen to respectfully disagree with many of my Democratic counterparts who are firmly in Obama's camp. I believe the issues are more complicated than many Obama supporters make them out to be (especially Iraq and the economy). I also do not believe this election will be a clear victory for either party, in either the executive or legislative branches. Historically, it's been very, very rare for the American people to vote a president and overwhelming majority in Congress, both from the same party. Neither the Democrats, nor the Republicans, are currently in a position to dominate the American political landscape by controlling both branches.

Anyway, I'm satisfied with the current presidential race. I see Obama vs. McCain as one of the more refreshing face-offs this country has had in recent history. I don't see Obama as the solution to all our problems, nor do I see McCain as a mere continuation of the last 8 years. That being said, I cannot help but prefer Obama based on my own political views and expectations.

Of course Obama is going to win its going to be a landslide.
I have nothing against him he'll make a fine president.

But im much rather have a liberal can. win.
I see this as the only solution. Call me close minded but we need change and Obama platforms ar bullsh*t that will never happen within the next 30 years.
