ok I rebonded my hair when I went home to philippines two weeks ago and there's some rules that I have to follow, to keep my hair straighter. for example I'm not allowed to ever tie it or put my hair behind my ears. they also said not to swim or put chlorine in my hair, but I dont know how long that is for. so how long do I wait until I can go swimming? and would the chlorine effect it in any way?

To ensure good and positive results even on very fragile hair, a new system for rebonding sensitized hair has emerged - one that combines the best straightening product plus a range that is specially formulated to care for sensitized hair, before, during and after the rebonding procedure.

Wella Philippines, Inc. introduces the Wellastrate + Biotouch Straight Nutrition System for rebonding or straightening sensitized, delicate hair. The superior straightening properties of Wellastrate are complemented by the moisturizing properties of Pro Vitamin B5 and the anti-frizz benefit of the rich Jojoba Oil both present in the Biotouch Straight Nutrition range. Biotouch Straight Nutrition Starting Cream is used on the hair before the application of the Wellastrate Straightening Cream to ensure protection of the hair’s delicate condition; Biotouch Straight Nutrition Intermediate Treatment, on the other hand, gives the hair extra protection while it is ironed straight and allows the hair iron to glide smoothly on hair sections. At the end of the hair rebonding or straightening procedure, Biotouch Straight Nutrition Finisher is applied to neutralize excess alkali and peroxide residues on the hair, giving the hair a brilliant shine after rinsing.

Caring for rebonded hair does not end in the salon. Biotouch Straight Nutrition Shampoo and Leave-in Cream are recommended for the client’s hair care at home. Regular use of these products will visibly improve the condition of rebonded hair, making it smooth, shiny and easy to comb.

While it is necessary to always use high quality products for best results, it is equally important to have a trained, skilled hairdresser do the hair rebonding procedure particularly on sensitized, delicate hair to ensure a successful treatment.

After a month you should be able to use preety much any clip or band. The main concern is the first few days until the hair has fully stabilized. I would still avoid excess tension though.
As for shampoo and conditioner, still use a good moisturizing product, since your hair is processed.
As for the difference between rebonding (thermal relaxing) and perming, chemically they are the same chemical process and chemistry used on the hair (thioglycolic acid) to change the shape or pattern of the hair. The difference is that your hair was straightened with the chemical and a perm (short for permanent wave) is adding curl by rolling the hair on perm rods instead of straightening it.

Cholroine is daming to hair anyway because it FRIES it. The chemicals in cholrine strip your hair of essential oils your scalp naturally produces, however if you go swimming then as long as you wash your hair really well it shouldn't be any different then caring for permed or color treated hair.

You should quit using glued-in extensions and try cold fusion hair extensions and you wouldn't have to worry about your hair extensions when you go swimming.
