our bunny is living inside with us and spending time playing outside with us in the day. she’s only 2 months old and we’ve had her about 3 weeks and the people who bred her trained them to use a cardboard box to do their business in and she’s really good inside and loves to snuggle. she jumps on me in the mornings to get me out of bed - she’s so cute! she has cardboard boxes and some wood to chew on and is quite happy - loves telephone books!

I will answer your questions in order.

  1. Only if they’re mean. 2.If they really know you, they will. (It’ll be a year before that happens, if it’s a calm bunny)
  2. Yes. DONT PUT BEDDING IN A CAGE!! THEY WILL KICK IT OUT, I KNOW FROM EXPIRENCE.
  3. NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!! THEY DONT LIKE IT! My bunny I recently aquired had not been taken out and lived in a pet carrier. It’s miserable in there. they need some space.

well I have had a rabbit all my life and I have one now… they can bite rabbits like meat and veggies and if you give them meat witch is the taste of blood then they will most likely bite you but if you dont like you give them veggies and rabbit food from the pet store then they most likeyly WONT bite but it depends on wear you got the rabbit and if someone else has had it before you

Right now my rabbit is in a big dog cage becuse she is so big…but when you have it in an animal cage she needs somewear to jump around and hop and its better tohave like a platform on the cage that she can jump on top of and back down

and on the bottom of the cage?? You need indoor outdoor carpet or the rabbits nails will scratch on the bottom and make then crooked and get long faster

Trimming the nails … you need first is to see if you can find a vet that will clip the rabbits nails it will usally cost about 5-10 dollars but if you cant because there hard to find then you can do it your self what you need to do is have one person hold the rabbit and do the FRONT LEFT first then the BACK LEFT and then FRONT RIGHT and then BACK RIGHT but you take RABBIT clippers not just reagular toenail clippers and clip them about 1half an inch to the hair and then they wont be to short but be care full if you cut it to short then they will grow back weird and this is one think that you need to make sure you do is CUT THE RABBITS NAILS

Rabbits can make a big mess but what you need to do is litter box train it… what you do is but a towl in one litter box and litter in the other for 1 week and see what one she uses to go to the bathroom .

well hope this helps I’m a rabbit expert so if you have anymore questions just ask– Katelynn

i’ve had two rabbits. their temperament is dependent on their breed and how you treat them/if someone has had it before you. both rabbits i had did bit, but that’s only if you’re shoving your fingers in their face or holding onto a piece of food they’re eating. holding them like a cat or a dog? yes, you can do that… if you get the right rabbit. if you plan to do that you should get a baby that way you can form it into a habit for the rabbit to be able to sit with you, otherwise it may stay for awhile but quickly vanish and lead you on a chasing spree through your house. rabbits require alot of running, so it doesn’t matter what you put them in whether it be a carrier or a cage, they’ll need to be let out for an hour or so to run around. however, rabbit cages are bigger and allow the rabbit to have a better view of its surroundings. holing it up in a dog crate will most likely turn it into smeagle from lord of the rings.

  1. You shouldn’t keep it in a carrier because its way to small!!! They need enough room to hop around and stretch out- and to stand up on their hind legs all the way…

They only bite if they feel threatened, because they’re scared. They get really frightened easily.. but once they grow to trust and love you they probably won’t bite, unless like I said if they feel threatened… usually you can’t really keep them in your lap because they don’t like heights and they get scared most of the time… but sometimes you can. Just make sure you don’t let them fall or jump out of your lap because if they fall/jump from really big heights it could hurt them big time. They’re not that chill really… although if they are spayed/neutered they’re more relaxed. Also if you get a lop bunny or a bigger breed of bunny they’re usually more chill… And it depends what your definition of big messes are… typically rabbits are very clean… but they mostly don’t make really big messes… Once in a while they do but its easy to clean up. (btw if you get a rabbit and if they pee on your carpet while they’re out of their cage or something… You can easily clean it off with vinegar, plus they don’t like the smell of the vinegar so they won’t want to go there again…

Rabbits do tend to bite when you first get them. They need to get used to their new surroundings. They do sit in your lap, but it will take a while for them to be comfortable. They might want to put there scent on you, if you know what I mean. :S So be careful. They dont tend to make big messes. But some a different. It is fine to put it in a dog carrier. As long as no dog has been in it before and left its smell. Rabbits get frightened by dog smell. Also a little extra, They love dandelions the leaves

Good Luck!*x

Answer #16

Some rabbits bite if they are scared or mad. but they are really cool pets. If you wanted a hyper rabbit then you need to buy a mini rex. But if you wanted a lazy one then get a lopped ear and a lionhead bunny. The lionhead bunnys are loveable and they are so cute and furry I have had all 3 of them but I like the lionhead better.
