My favorite ice cream is mint chocolate chip as well.

My parents were very poor during the depression so they pinched every penny when I was growing up. We always got big tubs of cheap ice cream instead of the good brands. The way us kids ate I certainly can’t fault them for this though.

My first week at college a guy on my wing bought a half gallon of mint chocolate chip ice cream without even thinking about whether it would fit in his dorm fridge. Since he had no way to keep this treat we all grabed spoons and ate it on the spot. I had never tasted ice cream this good. To this day I think of that every time I enjoy mint chocolate chip ice cream.

Not sure where you live but the best mint chocolate chip ice cream I ever tried is Braum’s. Braum’s is a small southern chain so it isn’t available in most of the country. This ice cream in mintier than others I’ve tried and their chips taste like chocolate instead of like frozen bits of wax like they do in some lesser brands.

Other really good ice creams include Blue Bell Cookies ‘n Cream and Baskin Robins Chocolate (best Chocolate ice cream anywhere).
