How should I attempt to lose my old muscle and extra body fat?

I quit soccer about 5 months ago and now I can finally attempt to lose my huge thighs and calves, and work on my core with flattening it. Also, my butt is huge and I think it is a contribution to my thighs. How should I go about trying to get skinny legs and a much flatter stomach and butt? I have about a month or two to complete this transformation.

Long distance running is what I would suggest doing since soccer is a sprint type of sport and you do get the huge legs and calves. Keep your stomach flexed as much as you can while running and it will surprise you on how tight it stays.

After about 20 minutes of running your body will start burning excess muscle to keep itself fueled for the duration of your running.
