Does anyone really believe in god?

Asked by djfgjdfgjdfjkvbdfkjb 12 days ago, 19 answers.

Does anyone really believe in god? I dont. Why do people think that there is some guy watching. If there was a 'god' wouldnt this world be better and no one would starve or die for no reason.

Send this to a friend

I do believe in God. and I also believe in a devil.
and that God is way more powerful.. but the Devil is well.. still out and about and that is who really hurts people.
And I know God is the creator is going to be victorious and we were made to worship Him all though few do
but I know He is going to be victorious-of course - and I really just want to side with Him and be with Him forever in eternity and I love Him so
so very much
and I could not- for a fact- get throu this life with out Him
and I also know that being a 'Christian' is made up to be a perfect life- but its not
you still go throu life
but at least you have Him, and you get through life and somehow..although life dosn't nessicarily get better...it gets sweeter...
ok.. im done...

I definitely do - here's what I know to be true: God being pure cannot even look upon sin - man, even in his very best state is a sinner - on judgement day, either: your sins are covered by the blood-shed sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross (salvation and only salvation - being a nice person isn't good enough - even at our very best, we are but filthy rags), and remembered no more or they are not (your sins are not covered) - where God's great love comes into play is, He provided a WAY (Jesus) for us not to perish and live in Heaven with Him (He certainly didn't have to do this but did because He loved us so) - if you read carefully John 3:16, this is exactly what it says - each person will either accept or reject, you must decide for yourself and yes, it's so important, it has eternal consequences - He Loves you and wants you to accept God's free gift to man - Jesus...Hope this helps you !!

I believe in him, he gave us freedom and will power though, he controls only our prayers and life span. He is kind and giving and watches over us, he has seaved my life and sent a gift to me. God is the reason for our very existance, a lot more people believe then you think.

I believe in god. I've prayed in the worst of times and he's helped me a lot.

“Let me ask you something. If someone prays for patience, you think God gives them patience? Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him opportunities to be courageous? If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities to love each other?“ --Evan Almighty

Look I know this may sound twisted but God cannot fix all our problems, thats our jobs.

Everyone has a different option of what god is and if he's real, I believe that he is with all my heart. Nothing I can say can change what you believe just in the end its going to come down too are you going to accept god to get into heaven or burn forever in hell?

I don't believe in God either. I feel that if there is a God, he's a real jerk.

It's like this...The people who are blessed and are healthy and have no problems, believe and people like me, who are disabled and have a miserable life, don't believe.

And there are also people who are healthy and well who, like you, care about people who are suffering through no fault of their own.

Katwoman - there are many in this world who are believers and still suffer. Just as there are many who do not believe and live wonderful lives.
It goes both ways...it is the luck of the dice...
some are Donald Trump, some are living under a bridge with nothing to eat...

I believe, and so does my mum (the one with the brain tumour, sorry to quote her a lot at the moment but she's taking up all my thoughts, as you can see!) My point is that she suffers but believes. I don't think less of katwoman for not believing - I really respect her. But I do love God and not only believe in but also know Him - that offer is open to all.

I believe in God, in the Trinity. I believe that everything that happens has a reason, and I believe that God's plan is good, though he is working through us sinners.

I know that bad things happen. It's a fact of life. I also know that in the beginning all was good, until Satan turned against God and tempted Eve and then Adam. I know our lives were cut much shorter and that sickness, pain and evil entered the world. But so did something else. Hope.

Have you ever wondered why those bad things happen? Sometimes there is a reason we cannot even begin to comprehend. I want to tell you a little piece of my story.

I fell away from God when I left my ex-husband. He was abusive and I blamed God. My pastor had wanted me to try and work it out, not knowing the entire situation, and I was so angry. I didn't realize that I wasn't giving him a clear picture of what my ex had done to me, and it caused a two year break from the church at which point I turned back to Wicca, my father's religion. I was still unhappy.

Then one day I ran into my sisters friend and we started talking. She recommended a hot line they had for women that had been abused. I started calling. All the volunteers were women that had been abused. It was wonderful to talk to someone who understood. It made me feel better that I wasn't the only one. I began to realize that I was important too and break the bonds of what had happened to me.

Eventually, I was on the other end of the line, talking to women who were being abused or had been abused. It gave me a feeling of empowerment, but more importantly, I was helping other women. Can you imagine what that did for them? Probably the same as it did for me.

One night, when I was on call, a young girl called. She sounded maybe seventeen. She was thinking of marrying her boyfriend, but he had started telling her what to do and pushing her around. The next day she was in our shelter. I had helped her. Now she is in college, studying to be a probono women's lawyer. I'll never forget what she said to me the day she left. 'Thank God for putting you there when I needed you.' It wasn't coincidence or circumstance to me. To me that is an every day miracle, and a wake up call!

Praise God!

Man is the reason people are starving and dieing on this planet, for the most part.

Resources exist to take care of every man, woman and child on this planet, they are just being misused, and approaited for self.

Since you care, are you going to make a difference in your lifetime?

Or are you going to do like most others, Live for self? and to heck with everyone esle.

to tell you the truth God is real. and so is the devil the devil fights us and God helps makes us stronger so we can face the world. If God wasn't real how do you explain everyday miracles like you living?

Christians are okay with the idea that their god lets people starve and die. Worse they come up with some reason as to why god allows this to happen.
