Does lifting weights also burn fat?

if I lift 8-10 lb dumbells for my arms and do sit-ups for my tummy, with a healthy balanced meal plan, will it help my tummy to shrink? I dont have much fat on my stomach.. so I’m wondering if it will help to completely shrink it and make my abs show, or do I HAVE to do cardio to shrink it. I’ll be doing cardio anyways but I’m just wondering… cause sit-ups is a lot easier to do in my home than cardio.

hmm yeah it does, but you put on weight because muscle is heavier than fat , I did it for a week so far and I pu ton 7 pounds but my arms and stomach are more toned

Lifting does burn calories. Some people lift weights, then jump on a cardio machine to burn more calories than doing them separately. Becareful when doing the side stomach excersizes. That area gets strong quickly and gets bigger. They might start to look like love handles.

lift as bigest amout of weight you that is hard to lift after 8 lifts and the next to hard ones are what makes you get stronger muscles

do cardio then after that do some sit-ups and then weight training also maintain eating healthy, weights converts fats into muscle that what I think.
