How can I get better at dancing?

I've been taking dance classes since I was 3 and I do cheerleading. I am good at dancing but only if it is a routine I have to memorize. I dont like to dance at school dances but I want to so how can I get better at dancing? Do you have any step by step dance moves?

Step-by-step dance moves at a school dance? That's not the way it works. Dancing is very expressive and there's not really a right or wrong way of doing it, it just has to be you. Let the music take over and even though you may feel like everyone is analyzing you, trust me, they're not, so just go with the flow. Unless it's to a particular song, I'd avoid step-by-step dance moves, which look too robotic and rehearsed. If you must, at least add your own spin and make it yours.

Yo. I am also a dancer. But if you want to dance really well then check out my girl Ciara's moves you can't go wrong with her. But what I can tell you is that when they are playing a song then just move to the beat that's all you really need to do. just move tot the beat.
