Cell Phonesss. :p

Important questionn;

I’m sixteen and I want to get my own cell phone plan. Yeah, I have a phone on my dads plan but he’s always out of town and it gets turned off a lot bc he doesn’t keep track of the bill. So could I have my own cell phone plan like in my name? Being only sixteen ..?

And, I have a Verizon phone and Verizon doesn’t use sim cards so its not like I could change it out with a different companys sim .. So if I get a T-Mobile phone plan could I use my Verizon phone? It has a sim card slot … My Verizon phone was like $300 and its not even a year old so I don’t feel the need to get a new phone from T-Mobile.

Help, please and thanksss. (:

Answer #1

If you are in the U.S. I think you have to be 18 years old to enter into contracts, so you wouldn’t be able to get one in your name unless your mom or dad to sign you up.

The same holds for getting checking, saving and credit card accounts.

Answer #2

Well someone told me about T-Mobile FlexPay which I think is like prepaid bc you pay by the month, its not an actual plan. And, you can have unltd. texting just like a regular plan. Would that work?

Answer #3

Prepaid IS an option… you’d just have to go easy on the texting.
